Deborah Ann Wolfe, often referred to as "Debbie," was born on June 19th, 1957. She was a 28-year-old nurse and residing four miles on the outskirts of Fayetteville, NC. Debbie lived alone in a wooded area 4 miles from the Fayetteville City off the Cumberland County HWY 401 With her 2 dogs Morgan & Mason. This is called the Wolfe Family Cabin in multiple sources so I assume she was either the owner of the family was the owner or long-time occupants of the property and Cabin in this rural and isolated location.
Debbie, as she was called by those who knew her, was a nurse, she worked at the Fayetteville Veterans Administration Hospital located off Ramsey Street in Fayetteville. The VA Hospital in Fayetteville is the regions busiest in the cause from Fayetteville’s colocation with Ft Bragg and the population of the area is almost all veteran or tied to veterans somehow. Cumberland County is reported to have over 30,000 residents most of those are Fayetteville and Ft Bragg connected. Be aware Ft Braggs tenant soldiers and families are not part of the census report so the number is much higher than reported by double most likely.
The Fayetteville Area is no stranger to High Profile crime and national media coverage as we opened the show with a Fayetteville Case and has no shortage of cases in the archives from the Cumberland County NC region. This Case is often overlooked by the fact that the event is not reported as a crime by the law authorities and only through the family and friends efforts has gained attention because the facts can at least be worthy of an investigation as suspected foul play. You will make your own mind up and we will decide the fate of “Body in the Barrel: The Debbie Wolfe Case”
